This manual is for users "PE Vibro" Motors.
This manual represents a safety warning and means that the instructions must be followed to avoid damages to persons or things.
In case instructions are not carefully observed, very serious damages to persons or things can occur.
Read the entire manual and instructions carefully for the operation of the machine on which the vibratory motor will be mounted. |

"PE Vibro" MOTORS |
|

They are electromechanical devices designed for use on vibrating machines. They can not carry out a work of their own. The function of vibratory motors is to transmit a centrifugal force to the structure to which they are applied, by provoking its vibration. Such structures must be strong enough to endure the stress it is exposed to, in order to avoid damages to persons or things ought to cracks. Vibratory Motors have been studied to be applied on machines like screens, feeders, extractors, separators, etc.

GUARANTEE AND CONDITIONS OF MAINTENANCE |
|
|
"PE Vibro" guarantees its own products against manufacturing faults for a period of 12 months starting from delivery date (proved by dispatch note ). Guarantee covers all mechanical components except the ones subject to normal wear due to the employment and all electrical components. Guarantee is limited to the free replacement of the parts resulting faulty to the verification of the competent firm department.
Guarantee loses its validity, and "PE Vibro" declines every responsibility for damages derived by an improper use of the product, wrong installation, negligence in the use and removal of safety protections. Guarantee will not be granted in case the product is returned disassembled, unduly opened or repaired NOT by "PE Vibro" . The use of not original "PE Vibro" spare parts cancels the validity of the guarantee.
NOTE: The materials returned to "PE Vibro" to be repaired under guarantee have to be dispatched "CARRIAGE PAID." |

TRANSPORT, HANDLING AND STORAGE |
|
|
The vibratory motors are supplied in single or multiple packing, done to protect and preserve the product during the transport.
The transport of the packed vibratory motors have to be effected through fork truck. Avoid chatters which could damage the
bearings, and do not overturn the packing.
While opening the packing it is very important to check together with the dispatch note, that the contents corresponds to what is written in the dispatch not and to what had been ordered. It is important to check that the vibratory motor has not suffered damages due to carelessness of the forwarder; in this case it is necessary to signal immediately what verified both to "PE Vibro" and the forwarder.
The unpacked vibratory motor has to be transported on a wood plane pallet through fork truck; or hooked to the special eyes obtained in casting in the central body.
If the vibratory motor is stored for a long period the room in which it is placed must be covered ambient temperature between 5 and 30-C and relative humidity not superior to 60%. On request the motors can be supplied with a "fixed" rotor. During transport and storage the fixation has to be used. |

INSTALLATION |
|
|
To guarantee a correct installation and consequently exploit all the potentialities of the vibratory motor and work with maximum safety it is opportune to follow the instructions. The operation must be exceeded by qualified personnel only and in the respect of the safety directions in force.
ELECTRICAL INPUT MUST BE ALWAYS DISCONNECTED
Before installing, it is important to verify that the device is in good conditions; especially if it has been stored for a long period. So it is important to make some checks:
A.To check that the shaft turns free, without chatters and that it has axial clearance.
B.To check the motor insulation toward ground, by using a rigidity proof at 2.2 kv tension for 5 second. in case any anomaly is found, please immediately contact "PE Vibro" .
The vibratory motor can be mounted in every position. The surface on which the vibratory motor is placed must be plane, without imperfections, which could preclude a correct fixing.To fix the vibratory motor to the structure always use screws DIN931, class8,8 high resistance and washers, bolt to the by using a dynamometric wrench.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION |
|
|
Protect every motor against overload. Use a thermal protection device. On request, we also supply motors with temperature sensors or thermostats in the stator.
Check if the mains voltage matches the voltage on the machine plate.
GROUNDING IS COMPULSORY
Depending on the mains voltage, choose a star (Y) or delta (D) connection. In case you use two vibration motors, check their direction of rotation. To change this direction, interchange the two-phase wires on the terminal block. The supplied strain relief prevents cable rupture and ensures the connections cannot come loose through vibration. Do not forget to interpose the flat and knurled washers. The lead for the grounding must be fixed through thropicalized screws. Unfastening of the nuts is sure cause of malfunctioning and breakdowns. Connection to energy sources. This operation must be executed by qualified personnel only and with disconnected electrical input. Check that tension and input frequency are correspondent to the ones indicated in the identification plate of the vibratory motors. Use always connection elements in conformity with the regulations in force. |

SETTING THE WORKING MOMENT |
|
|
The standard "PE Vibro" vibratory motors are supplied with the weights set to 70%. If this torque or the centrifugal force is too low, the motor can easily be adapted to the specific application by changing the weight setting. Remove the covers to move the outer weights and set as per your requirement.
ATTENTION:
Inner weight is fixed, don't loosen this weight. The setting must be identical on both sides. In case of application two motors on one single installation, they must be set identically. |

MAINTENANCE |
|
|
Except for the regular verification of the bolts and nuts, the "PE Vibro" motors do not require any maintenance. The bearings must be checked yearly or after 5000-7500 hours. when bearings are all right you only have to change the bearing grease. If in doubt change the bearings. Always change both bearing parts.
Replacing the Bearings
The motor can be disassembled after having removed the covers and the weights on both sides. First, mark the position of the bearing shield with respect to the stator! Press the bearing shields out of their bore by means of the bolts. When choosing bearing, keep in mind dimensions and make sure about they are same.
Greasing:
Use only Lithium based long-life special Grease.
Attention: First, wash out the conservation grease
